Pro Add-ons

The Shelly Pro range is now expanded with three new DIN-mounted add-on modules: the LoRa add-on, the Sensor add-on and the Modbus add-on (RS485). All are galvanically isolated expansion modules that are mounted together with a compatible Shelly Pro device – they do not work independently. The LoRa add-on provides long-range communication of up to 5 km via the EU868 band, with support for external antenna and AES-CCM encryption. It is suitable for control and monitoring over longer distances, such as street lighting, irrigation systems or solar parks where traditional Wi-Fi coverage is not sufficient. The Sensor add-on turns the connected Pro device into a sensor hub with support for 1-Wire (DS18B20, DHT22), analog (0–10V) and digital inputs, as well as a potential-free output. It is compatible with most Arduino sensors and is suitable for temperature and humidity monitoring, leak detection, soil moisture measurement and motion-controlled lighting. The Modbus extension (RS485) connects the Pro device to building automation, energy systems and SCADA/PLC environments. The module can act as both a client and server, supporting up to 32 nodes on the same network and is well suited for building automation, HVAC integration and energy monitoring in commercial buildings. The extensions are compatible with selected models in the Pro series, including Shelly Pro 1, Pro 2, Pro 1PM, Pro RGBWW - always check the compatibility list for each model and firmware requirements before installation.
