Shelly modules – handy relays for box or behind switches, ideal for retrofitting.

In addition to the Pro series, Shelly offers a wide range of compact relay modules for mounting behind switches, in boxes or other limited spaces. They are ideal for retrofit, renovation and new installations where DIN rail is not an option, and are available as Gen3 and Gen4 models in several sizes, including Shelly 1, Shelly 1 PM, Shelly 1L, Shelly 2 PM and the Mini variants Shelly 1 Mini and Shelly 1 PM Mini. The difference between Gen3 and Gen4 lies primarily in the connectivity options. The Gen3 modules communicate via Wi-Fi and support Matter*, which provides easy integration with most smart home platforms. The Gen4 modules build on this and add Zigbee as an additional connectivity option, along with support for Modbus – giving you as an installer greater freedom to choose the right protocol for each project, regardless of whether it is a residential installation or integration into a larger control system. All modules are available in single-channel and dual-channel versions, several with built-in power measurement (PM) and support for roller blind and shutter control. They are affordable without compromising on operational reliability, and provide the same openness as the rest of the Shelly range – local or cloud-based control, app or integration.

*Many (but not all) gen3 devices have received Matter support retrospectively via firmware update. Check support for your particular gen3 device before purchase
